1-23-09 Important Hotel Information - Please Read!
The host hotel is full. They have opened another small block of rooms for us, however the rates for the new block of rooms are $99, and not the lower $84 cost. These will go fast! What's nice about the Gateway Center is the fact that many smaller hotels are directly across the street, or within view of the Gateway Center. We have a link of the other hotels under the More Hotels link..
Originally this hotel was a Holiday Inn, now it's known as Hotel Collinsville, and is currently in the process of becoming a Double Tree Hotel. The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and we will be one of the first groups to benefit from this renovation.
At the beginning of January they were installing a complete new phone system, and the phone was busy for several days. We apologize, and now the new phone system is completely installed.
We also just found out about another issue. A few AMO members may have made reservations "ONLINE" to the old Holiday Inn website. There is a chance that Holiday Inn located in downtown St. Louis took a few reservations. However they would not know about the AMO special or the special $84 a night room rate. If you called the hotel direct to make your reservations, you will be ok. They never changed phone numbers during on-going renovation. However if you made your reservations ONLINE, you may want to call the Hotel Collinsville direct to confirm your reservations and make sure you are in staying in Collinsville, Illinois and not downtown St. Louis.
The Hotel Collinsville can be reached at 1-618-345-2800. Hopefully this did not happen to anyone, however we want to try to keep everyone informed of any and all issues related to our show!
