2009 AMO CONVENTION
T H A N K S T O E V E R Y O N E…….
Thanks to everyone that helped make this
meet such a success! This is the 3rd time in 20 years that Gateway hosted this
national event. We hope everyone had a great time and made even more AMC
friends. Everyone that comes to this event become part of the show, so thank you
for bringing your nice cars to our event. We also had a great turnout of vendors
in town selling their parts. They are also a major part of the AMC hobby.
Thanks to all the AMO members that put in all the time to judge cars, thanks to
the judging sheet runners, and the group that tallied all the totals. Thanks to
all the AMO members that assisted with the show. Thanks to Shirley and Ken for
making the trip to St. Louis. Thanks to the SS/AMX group that came to celebrate
their 40th Anniversary.

A M C ………..
The show is now over. I wanted to thank everyone for the work they performed at
this show. So a big “Thanks” goes out to all the Gateway club members! We had
great shows back in 1989 and 1999, and it appears we did it again! Putting on a
National Meet is hard enough, but then we added something totally new. We tried
something that no other group has done before, and the inside show was a great
success! The cars parked inside were all very nice or super rare. It added that
extra professional touch to the show field. The plastic over the carpet worked
out perfect! The many photos that are now beginning to appear on the internet
showing the cars inside will be around for many years to come! We also had many
very nice cars outside the Gateway center. Who would have thought the temperature would have been in the high 70's with low humidity for this show! We had a great turnout overall.
Without all of your help, this event
would not have been possible! Most of us have heard many positive verbal
comments already about the show, and have read the nice comments on the AMC
Forum. Pat yourself on the back and be proud that you are a member of Gateway!
Now it’s time to relax!
